IN MEMORIAM: ALI CYRUS RAZI

Ali Cyrus Razi, founder and founding chairman of Farhang Foundation, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, surrounded by his family. In 2008, he and his late wife, Anousheh, brought their vision to life: creating a lasting home for Iranian art and culture, supported by a diverse and dedicated community, and a place from which Iran’s rich heritage could be shared with the world. That vision became a legacy carried forward by generations.

Mr. Razi’s dedication to service reached far beyond the arts. Through his support of higher education, humanitarian work with The Midnight Mission, and leadership in business and philanthropy, he helped create opportunity and improve lives. In 2011, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in recognition of his contributions to the United States as an immigrant.

The Iran Heritage Foundation extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones, and honours a life whose generosity, vision, and service continue to inspire.
